Green Easter

Posted by admin on April 11, 2009

Tomorrow’s Easter and with that people are coloring eggs, buying their kids bunnies & chicks for gifts, preparing to eat chocolate.

Bunnies & Chicks:
First and foremost I strongly suggest not buying a bunny or a chick for a gift unless you’re totally prepared for the responsibility of taking care of the little guy. My daughter has a rabbit she got in December but it wasn’t an impulse, and she takes care of her pets and is prepared for the responsibility. Sadly, many others aren’t and then these innocent creatures are left to die, be neglected (younger kids aren’t usually ready to handle delicate small animals) or shipped off to shelters. So unless you’re totally prepared for the care of these pets, bypass giving them as gifts.

Coloring Eggs
When purchasing your eggs, get organic or free range.
